Kalau Allah menghendaki, tentu Dia memberi kekuasaan kepada mereka terhadap kamu, lalu pastilah mereka memerangimu. tetapi jika mereka membiarkan kamu, dan tidak memerangi kamu serta mengemukakan perdamaian kepadamu [333] maka Allah tidak memberi jalan bagimu (untuk menawan dan membunuh) mereka. [331] Ayat ini menjadi dasar hukum suaka. [332] Tidak memihak dan telah mengadakan hubungan dengan kaum muslimin. [333] Maksudnya : menyerah.
